Communion

This is a special time for your child who is now able to fully participate in the Eucharist. In Baptism your child has already become a new creation in Christ and a member of God’s holy people. Now your child will join the other baptised members of the church in the communion procession to receive Christ in the Eucharist.

In your child’s baptism you promised to educate your daughter/son in the practice of the faith. This is a wonderful opportunity to journey with your child as they make their First Holy Communion. You will be assisted in this by the parish, school and catechists.

Children in year 4 and above can receive their first communion after receiving their first reconciliation.

• Registration closed Friday 7th February 2025

• Parents info evening: Thursday 13th February, 5.30pm at OLSH Church Randwick

• Commitment Masses: Saturday and Sunday, 15th and 16th February, no need to book. 

• Formation 1: Thursday 20th February, 5.30pm at OLSH School Hall

• Formation 2: Thursday 6th March, 5.30pm at OLSH School Hall

• First Holy Communion Masses: Sat and Sun 29th and 30th March and 5th and 6th April
